Founded in 1954, the NFSH is acknowledged to be the principal organisation for spiritual healing in the UK with more than 6,000 members working individually and in centres throughout the country. There is also a growing overseas membership. The NFSH is a registered charity and operates through regional committee's. |

The NFSH is not associated with any religion. It does see the source as divine, but respects the right of every individual to his or her own interpretation of that source. The word "spiritual" in the title refers to the quality of spirituality implicit in the healing process. NFSH members are bound by a strict Code of Conduct. |

| The NFSH has developed an extensive education and training programme within a structured syllabus which is available throughout the UK. This supports the progress of both new and established healers. The NFSH also runs a healer referral service that will find a healer local to you. In addition, it publicises all aspects of healing to a wider public: this includes dealing with worldwide media, medical and educational enquiries.
